Q1 - On hair removal how many treatments do I need?

A1 - Hair that is actively growing affected by timescales. The treatment can be carried out every 4-6 weeks until satisfactory results are seen. Therefore multiple treatments are required. Treatment varies depending on the individual depending on hair growth, area of the body, hair density, thickness, ethnicity, hormonal status and age. Normally 6-8 treatments are need for the very best results 

Q2- How does IPL laser hair removal work?

A2 - IPL stands for 'Intense pulsed light.' Light is selectively absorbed by melanin, the pigment in the hair follicle. The light heats the pigment in the hair and destroys the hair follicle, preventing it from growing back

Q3 - After hair removal treatment will it ever grow back?

A3- After successful treatment your hair in this area will not grow back

Q4 - Can I still get laser hair removal if I am pregnant/breast feeding?

A4 - Based on the current medical advice, we are unable to perform laser hair removal during the first trimester of pregnancy. We advise clients to obtain a medical certificate in the second or third trimester.

Q5 - Please tell me more about the skin rejuvenation treatment?

A5 - Skin rejuvenation treatments offer a solution for all signs of ageing caused by sun damage, pigmentation, redness, threat veins and uneven skin texture, lines and wrinkles. It also helps the appearance of acne scars. Equally it also brightens and tightens the skin

Q6- Are there any side effects?

A6- IPL hair reduction is perfectly safe with no adverse side effects. The only limited one you may have is some redness after treatment which would only last 24-48 hours 

Q7- What is the minimum age of laser hair removal and all other treatments?

A7 - My clients must be 18 years and above to have any laser or skin treatments. However any clients aged 13-17 can be considered if the parent/guardians is present with them during the treatment and fully understands the procedure and after care. Due to hormonal changes/puberty, we don't accept anyone under 12 years of age.

Q8 - Does laser hair removal hurt?

A9 - No it doesn't. One of the benefits of laser hair removal is the treatment is completely painless, even more so compared to waxing. 

Q9 - How do I prepare myself for treatment?

A9 - Shave the treatment area at 12-24 hours prior to the appointment. Avoid chemical peels at least 4 weeks before treatment and equally ensure no residue false tan is present on the skin. Finally avoid excessive sun exposure and do not wax.

Q10 - Can any hair colour be treated?

A10 - All hair colours can be treated other than white & grey. The darker the hair colour the more light is absorbed and this will provide quicker results. 

Q11- Can pigments such as sun spots and freckles be removed?

A11 - Yes things like sunspots and freckles can be successfully removed, as well as many others

Q12 - Can red vein, thread veins and red spots be removed?

A12 - Indeed they can, these can all be reduced quickly and swiftly 

Q13 - Can acne scarring be treated?

A13 - Acne scarring can effectively be treated with intense pulsed light (IPL). This reduces redness and the number and severity of active lesions. In turn lessening the inflammation.

Q14 - What is microblading?

A14 - Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up enhancing the appearance of your eyebrows. This is where pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair. This is done using a hand tool with a blade. 

Q15 - How long will microblading take?

A15 - Microblading is covered over 2 sessions. The 1st session can take up to 2 hours and the 2nd session up to an hour. The second session is required 6-8 weeks after the 1st treatment

Q16 - Tell me more about tattoo removal?

A16 - Tattoo removal uses laser technology to break down the ink within the skin. This sometimes can be a long process split up into many sessions. How this varies depending on the colour and how long you have had the tattoo. Sessions vary between 8-12, with a gap of 8 weeks between them

A17 - Lip blush is a semi-permanent make-up that gives you the colour you love on your lips all year round. I can offer a variety of shades you can choose from

Q18- Tell me more about eye liner?

A18- This is semi-permanent make-up that can be done in a way to give the full eyeliner effect. This outlines the edge of the eyelid or can be done in small dots, acting as a lash enhancement. Making the eyes look far more defined
